Q: What exactly am I getting certified for and what will I be learning?
Usui/Holy Fire Reiki I & II
Reiki I and II are taught together during a weekend intensive. Both attunements are given. All the information and techniques for both levels are covered including:
- Giving a complete Reiki treatment for self and others.
- The Reiki hand positions.
- Japanese Reiki Techniques, as taught by Dr. Usui including: Gassho meditation, Reiji-ho – developing your intuition, Byosen Scanning – detecting where Reiki is needed, Gyoshi ho – sending Reiki with the eyes, Kenyoku – dry bathing or clearing ones energy field.
- Hayashi Healing Guide
- Using Reiki for specific conditions.
- The Reiki II symbols, how to use them with practice time.
- Using Reiki to heal unwanted habits.
- Distant healing.
- 192 page class manual
The class is a combination of lecture, discussion and experience. Practice time includes giving and receiving a complete Reiki treatment using all the hand positions, the self -treatment, practice using all the level II symbols including distant healing, and practice using all the Japanese Reiki Techniques mentioned above.
While practice takes place during the class, it is expected that you will set aside additional time to practice after the class is over. Please commit to this additional time which should be one evening a week for several weeks, or its equivalent, to practice Reiki with one, or more, people from your Reiki class or with members of your family or friends. This additional practice is necessary to gain the experience and confidence you need to fully utilize the Reiki training.
- Is Holy Fire Reiki associated with any religion? No. Holy Fire Reiki works with all religions or no religion. The use of the word holy in the name Holy Fire is not religious in meaning. The word holy has as its root meaning to be whole and complete and this is how it is used in Holy Fire. Therefore, Holy Fire is a spiritual energy that creates wholeness through purification, healing, empowerment and guidance. If already taken Reiki, how is this different?
Q: Why is the Sacred Enchantress Retreat so expensive?
I am providing you with luxury accommodations, a perfect environment for integration, adventures and sensuous relaxation. This is a luxury retreat.
I want you to be free to focus on you and for the experience to be memorable. I do my best to limit the amount of arrangements and details that you would need to attend to each day. Therefore, we make sure to plan out great places to meet, meals, and supplies. It is all factored into the cost of the retreat.
Holy Fire uses Ignitions instead of attunements. What are Ignitions?
The Holy Fire Reiki attunements are now called “ignitions.” Since the first experiences with Holy Fire we have noted that the attunements for the Usui Master and Karuna levels are considerably different from what we have previously experienced. William Rand was guided that because of this, they need a new name. We have been told to call them ignitions. The attunements for the Healing Attunement, Reiki I&II and Reiki ART are done in a similar way as they were in the past with the teacher physically interacting with the student, but substituting the Holy Fire master symbol for the violet breath and Tibetan symbols, which makes the process much easier.
Q: What time would my flight need to arrive?
I would suggest arrive the day before the retreat to give yourself time to adjust to the hotel, get situated, and get a good nights sleep.
Here is a link that will help you plan your arrival.
Cork International Airport is approximately a 40 minute drive from Castlemartyr Hotel and Golf Resort for directions and maps please visit the following link:
Q: What if I get sick, or something comes up and I can’t attend? Can I get a refund?
This is an intimate retreat that includes tours accommodations, therefore we need a confirmed list of attendees. That means that we cannot accommodate refunds. However, if something comes up and you cannot attend, we will do our best to help you find someone to fill your spot. And if that works out, then great. However, we cannot guarantee that it will work out that way.
Q: Can I bring my significant other, or child to stay with me if they are not attending the retreat?
A retreat is an opportunity to step outside of your day-to-day life, in order to tap into expanded possibilities. Therefore, it is best for individuals to be able to focus inward even outside of scheduled retreat activities. For those who would like to invite others to join them pre or post retreat, we are happy to provide accommodation recommendations nearby. Also, we welcome you and your family members or friends to attend a retreat together, but only if you think it will add more positive mojo to your experience.
Q: What will the food be like. Do we have dining options?

It offers the very best of modern Irish cuisine always using the finest local and seasonal produce. A selection of vegetarian options, low calorie dishes and gluten-free dishes are available at their new restaurant. If you have severe allergies please let me know ahead of time and I will be able to present you will options well in advance.
Breakfast is served daily in The Bell Tower. In the evening, the restaurant offers an extensive menu, with a carefully chosen wine list.
All food is prepared by Head Chef Kevin Burke and his team and we are very proud of the fact that every meal served comes from the one kitchen at the hotel, be it a tasting menu, room service or our ever popular Afternoon Tea.
Q: Are shared rooms available?
Yes!. While alone time is central to the integration process, there are shared rooms available. Please take time to carefully consider before sharing a room as a lot of mental and emotional clearing can take place. While all of the rooms are beautiful and spacious, you do not want to have to put on a false face for anyone. I suggest the junior suites for sharing which should give attendees adequate space. Please review the rooms via the link on the previous page carefully before making this decision.
Q: What if we’ve never worked together:
What matters more than us knowing one another, is resonating with what I am offering, being receptive to the energy from spirit, and feeling guided to attune to the Holy Fire.
While we are all infinitely connected via our divine purpose together, I will make sure that we are well acquainted by the start of the retreat whether via email or, even a phone or Skype call if you like. There is a Facebook page that will help us all get to know on another beforehand. If Facebook isn’t your thing and you find yourself unable to connect one-on-one for some reason, fear not, We will know each other by heart.
Q: Is it scary? Should I expect to cry?
Breakthroughs are exciting! Clarity is invigorating. And creativity can unleash the beast within. Sometimes the path to these things is blocked and the removal of the blockage can find a release through tears, exclamations, dance, or laughter. It is hard to predict what the effect will be for each individual. We promise that our intention is to keep things light and relaxed, yet targeted.
